This Privacy Policy explains how FillWisely ("FillWisely", "we", "us" or "our") handles information when you use the FillWisely Chrome extension, website and related services.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use: FillWisely's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Information we handle
Profile and resume information
You may provide your name, email address, telephone number, address, location, employment history, education, skills, certificates, achievements, professional summary, cover-letter material, business or project context, and resume files. Profile data and resume files are primarily stored locally in the extension using Chrome storage and IndexedDB.
Form and website information
When you explicitly click Fill page, FillWisely reads visible form-field labels, questions, available options, existing field values, the active page title and URL. This access is limited to the active tab and is used to identify and complete the requested form. FillWisely does not monitor browsing continuously or collect browsing history for advertising.
AI processing
When an answer or custom resume requires AI assistance, the relevant question, page context and applicable profile information are transmitted securely to our backend and processed using OpenAI's API. API requests use store: false, so responses are not saved as retrievable application state. OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models unless the account explicitly opts in, but abuse-monitoring logs may be retained for up to 30 days under OpenAI's applicable data controls. Do not include information you do not want processed for this purpose.
Account and authentication information
If you create an account, Firebase Authentication processes your email address, password and authentication tokens. FillWisely does not store your password in Firestore. Authentication tokens may be stored locally to keep you signed in.
Payments and transactions
We process selected application packs, discount codes, order identifiers, payment amount and payment status. Cashfree Payments provides checkout and processes payment credentials. FillWisely does not receive or store complete card, bank-account, UPI PIN or CVV details.
Usage and technical records
We may store application authorization records, application balances, AI request metadata, model name, token counts, estimated API cost, success or failure status, and timestamps to operate credits, prevent duplicate charges, secure the service and monitor reliability.
How we use information
- To scan and fill forms at your request.
- To generate relevant answers and ATS-friendly resumes.
- To remember profile information and non-sensitive answers for future forms.
- To authenticate accounts and manage application balances.
- To process and reconcile payments.
- To prevent fraud, troubleshoot failures and measure service cost and reliability.
Service providers and sharing
We share information only as needed to provide FillWisely with service providers acting on our behalf, including Google Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, database and hosting; OpenAI for AI processing; and Cashfree Payments for checkout and payment verification. We may also disclose information when legally required or to protect users, FillWisely or the public. We do not sell user data or use it for advertising, creditworthiness or lending.
Data retention and deletion
Profile data is stored locally in your browser. When you sign in and save your profile, a backup is also stored in your FillWisely account so you can restore it on another installation. Resume files remain local unless a future feature clearly asks you to upload them. Local data remains until you delete it, clear extension data or uninstall FillWisely. Account, profile-backup, order, application-usage and API-usage records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain financial and security records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of server-side account data by emailing us. Certain transaction records may be retained when legally required.
Your choices
- Edit or remove profile information and resumes in the extension settings.
- Review filled answers before submitting any form.
- Choose not to use AI-powered features.
- Sign out or uninstall the extension.
- Request access, correction or deletion of server-side personal information.
Security
We use HTTPS for data in transit, restrict provider credentials to the backend and apply access controls to stored account data. No system is completely secure, so users should avoid entering highly sensitive identifiers, passwords, banking details or health information into application-context fields.
Children
FillWisely is intended for adults completing professional and business applications and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or legal obligations change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when required.
